Horse Trials

Since 1968 Southwestern riders have competed in the Grass Ridge Horse Trials held annually in Sonoita, Arizona. The Grass Ridge Equestrian Foundation (GREF) has hosted this event since 2001. These trials are the longest-running Southern Arizona event recognized by the U.S. Equestrian Foundation and U.S Eventing Association (USEA). Grass Ridge offers a three-phase event over two days, dressage and stadium jumping on Saturday and cross-country on Sunday.  In 2004, the Grass Ridge Horse Trials became one of only three locations to host the Chronicle of the Horse Western Adult Team Challenge.
